6 Ways Human Design Has Shaped My Soul-Led Business as a Projector

When Human Design descended in my life, I was already an entrepreneur.

I was listening to the whisper of my soul, or rather, my G center. Read here for a reflection of my 6th year in business.

But was I feeling aligned? No. Not entirely.

Was I feeling burned out? Yes, I was balancing it with a day job that was physically and laboriously intensive on my body (ex-scuba diving instructor). I was measuring my self-worth with my level of productivity. I was consistently and unconsciously comparing myself with other entrepreneurs.

Was I feeling bitter? Heck yes.

Was I feeling successful?
No, I had no idea what I was striving for in terms of success.

All this time, I have always intuitively known that my business was meant to be soul-led —a business run with intentionality, authenticity, and values aligned with my own. But I had no idea how to do it. I recall sitting in a chair in my first year as a struggling and exhausted entrepreneur, willing myself to churn out articles that I was excited to write about, and joining as many free courses and Masterclasses as possible. Some days, I would sit and write until 2 am, then force myself to wake up at 5:30 am to meditate as part of my morning routine.

Because it will all be worth it.
Because it will enhance my productivity and well-being.
Because that was how the most successful entrepreneurs begin their day…

You get the gist of it.

I remember hyping myself up for the list of to-dos and shoulds, and failing terribly with keeping up with them. Nevertheless, my body was burned out, my gut health was terrible, which was reflected in my inflamed lymph nodes and the body’s biggest organ— my skin. I remember feeling plagued with self-doubts, feeling inadequate and this pang of bitterness that I could not string any words for. I remember asking myself that there must be something more to this hustle culture of doing more, being more, producing more in entrepreneurship.

But most importantly, I knew deeply that: my soul did not sign up for this.

When I was invited to re-discover Human Design again, the most pronounced shift was the way it changed the ways I co-create with my soul-led business.

Below are 6 ways Human Design has shaped my soul-led business as a Projector.

Learning who I am here to serve (hint: not everyone)

As a Projector, I quickly realize that my role in the collective is to guide.
A guide, a seer, the orchestrator, you name it.

However, I was not for everyone (nor are you). I am here to be the guide for those who are ready for me, the people in my fractals —the individuals my soul has decided from the beginning that I was meant to cross paths with energetically; to impact, support, inspire, and connect. Someone ready for my medicine. This process is shaped and curated by our Projector strategy, which involves waiting for the invitation.

Our strategy of waiting for the invitation primes us for the correct and aligned people, opportunities, and recognitions to settle in, so we are deeply seen and recognized for our gifts. This allows us to conserve our energy and attention, rather than spreading ourselves too thin and exhausting ourselves for everyone.

So we can guide from resonance and readiness, not desperation and misalignment.

Two beautiful pieces of transmission that came to me in my contemplation and experimentation of my strategy are resonance and readiness, which can each exist alone and are also non-mutually exclusive.

Someone may resonate deeply with your work, but do not carry the readiness in their life (regardless of subconscious, financial, energetic, or physical) to work with you right away.

Someone may not resonate with your work entirely but carry the readiness to invest in themselves, and choose to work with you or not.

Divine timing and being deeply attuned to your energetic configuration as a Projector play a pivotal role in navigating who you are meant to serve. With your correct creative expression, dependable business strategy in place, attracting who you are here to serve will not feel forceful or performative; it will not be measured in likes and reposts, but in the successful conversion of the aligned clients who possess both the resonance and readiness at the same time to work with you.

Your mind will not drive your business. Your frequency and your Projector aura will lead your business.

My marketing strategy revolutionizes

I recall that in one of my earliest business courses during my entrepreneurship journey, it emphasized the need to incorporate a scarcity narrative and assertiveness in my messaging. During that time, I remember clearly that one of the marketing strategies to expand my reach was to follow as many people on IG so they may follow me back, and I could reach out to them in a “friendly manner”. Yikes, I did the latter. I remember how cringed I felt and how inauthentic and jarring these marketing strategies felt in my body.

Since discovering Human Design, my entire marketing strategy has undergone a revolution. My soul-led business has a gentle, yet fortified business eco-system that focuses on capacity and aligned discoverability. The strategy of my business is tailored to my unique Projector’s energetic configuration, coupled with strategies that optimize and amplify my Projector's receptivity and magnetism.

No, I no longer initiate or engage in cold messaging. I no longer measure my successes against those of other sacral soul-led business owners. My expanders are only Projector business owners, and even so, I navigate every piece of content and inspiration with discernment, trusting only what aligns with my G center (I am a Self-Projected Projector) and releasing what does not. My subscription list has grown organically from zero to over 2,000 in under 1.5 years.

Visibility has a new definition in my book

For those who have followed me for a while, one of the reasons I started my blog back in 2019 was my desire to overcome my fear of being seen.

Healing the fear of being seen with a soul-led business versus a conventional business hits differently. Sometimes it feels like the most vulnerable and perplexing experience because you are being compelled to show up, not for others anymore, but for your younger and future selves.

Before Human Design came along, I carried a singular narrative and concept about visibility and marketing. Through Human Design and astrology, I gained a deeper understanding of the nuances surrounding my fears of being seen, as well as how specific marketing strategies that work for others may not be effective for me. Through my business mentorship, I now teach my clients the inner work that is often neglected in building and sustaining a soul-led business, so one can carry the self-agency and tools necessary to weed out any fears of self-sabotage, not from a lack of purpose, but from a purposeful resonance.

I no longer villainize marketing or approach visibility as a fear or a threat to my nervous system, but rather as an opportunity to be seen for who I truly am and a channel for my wealth accumulation.

Leveraging on my gifts through my offerings

The beauty of aligning your Human Design with your soul-led business is that your business strategy and creativity eventually become clear and effortless.

One thing I noticed among business owners is that they often replicate the offerings of their mentors/expanders, as that was the easiest and safest way to begin. The truth is that it doesn't work, especially if you identify as a soul-led business owner. When I became clear about my differentiated design and understood my gifts and how to leverage them, I was able to implement this in my business.

Remember— your business is an extension of who you are.

It is not you, but an entity with which you collaborate for your soul work. No one on this earth will have the same Human Design as you. No one on this earth is meant to create the impact that your soul is meant for. Yes, you may find someone who carries a Design that is largely similar to yours, but there will be many nuances and individual variables within the chart that can create a unique expression that sets you apart. In business, this may play out differently through how you craft your offering, how you word your copywriting, and how you express your creativity and create organic reach that feels sustained and unrushed. Each of these, alongside your prior lived experiences, will make your work distinct from others, and that's why an aligned audience chooses to work with you instead of someone else.

Your role is to align your soul-led business with your Projector divinity, so your soul work reaches your aligned audience and so your magic as a Projector touches the lives of those who need your gift.

optimized workflow according to my design

One of the most significant reliefs after discovering my Human Design is releasing the need to be perfect and consistent in both my personal life and business. For the longest time, as a struggling entrepreneur, I would hold myself accountable for not doing enough, not showing up enough, and not producing enough. Today, I only prioritize capacity first. My current narrative is, am I resting enough? Does this feel good on my body? Am I working smartly and intentionally? Am I showing up for my business with embodiment, clarity, and the frequency of abundance, rather than confusion, separation, and lack?

On a practical level, I no longer multitask; instead, I prioritize monotonous tasking and deep flow states that last 2-3 hours at a go. I always work with the door in front of me and ideally with the wall behind me (in a selective cave environment). I take Sundays and Mondays off and live my life by my woman's cycle, planning my week according to the planetary days. I always prioritize time for play, nature, grounding, and movement. (Nowadays, I enjoy Latin dancing!)

My days begin slow and unhurried, even when I have client calls in the early mornings. I follow the ebb and flow of my Gates 33, which are both my Conscious Sun and Mercury gates, embracing my process of withdrawal and contemplation before my wisdom is ready to be shared, never forcing myself to a systematic and rigid structure of creation. My non-negotiables for business and personal life carry the foundation of how I approach my creative practice, launches, client work, and day-to-day life. I still see my conditioning, specifically with my open root center, playing itself out whenever I have a deadline.

Most of all, I accept that my workflow is not in its perfected form; it is changeable and remains open to experimentation and adjustments. Above all, I carry a deep well of self-compassion and appreciation for what I have accomplished in my business, how I experienced burnout in the past, and where I have arrived to this very moment.

Soul over mind, s&A over mind

As business owners, we can very often feel inundated by the myriad of information that we are consciously and unconsciously consuming whenever we open up our social media. The constant dialogue of whether you are good enough, or if you've tried enough, or if your work makes a difference, or if you should create a new reel with this new trend, new audio, or new style… that list goes on and on.

Learning about my Human Design has shown me who I am, not in a way that boosted my ego or restricted me (yes, that can happen too when you wrap it into a dogma), but because it revealed a life that is possible when we choose alignment, experimentation, and empowerment. Whenever I feel challenged or doubtful of a decision or myself, or when the chatter of the mind or the noise of the world gets too loud, I always return to consult my authority, my G center.

Human Design has equipped me with a lifelong tool to navigate life and business even when the external world is noisy, destabilizing, and unclear. It has taught me to return to the quiet of my aura, the confidence and safety of waiting, and the unshakeable trust in my soul over my mind, every single time. It has returned me to my wisdom.

And that, my friend, is why you are a Projector.

That is why your aligned clients out there need your medicine.
