Soul-Led Business: 5 Blocks That Are Holding Your Wealth Back As A Business Owner (Projector Version)

soul-led business
When I became a soul-led entrepreneur in 2019, it became very clear to me early on that soul-led entrepreneurship was a journey not for the faint of heart or the masses. If anything, one will most definitely be catapulted on a journey that will force you to grow, question, and confront more than you would ever imagine. Almost every action taken towards showing up with your business will activate the shadows that are needed to emerge for your personal healing. Many soul-led business owners were not prepared for this right away, and for that reason, it can feel overwhelming and resistant; most would either give up or fail to follow through.
I like to define a soul-led business as one where you become a conduit for your soul; one where you become a co-creator with your business, fulfilling a higher purpose tied to the service of the collective in a way that only you can.
A soul-led business is one that thrives on magnetism through your frequency (it is energetic!), not forceful and pushy marketing strategies (although marketing is important too!). A soul-led business is led by capacity and foundation first before strategy. It invites the right people in through resonance and clarity. It scales only because it is aligned with oneโs values, capacity and joy. A soul-led business is one where strategy and creativity operate as a living tool, moving with purpose and resonance. A soul-led business is where visibility is approached as an opportunity to be seen authentically.
Visibility = receptivity.
A soul-led business is a living alchemy that expands alongside you.
Below are five ways that I have noticed soul-led business owner may be blocking their wealth in business.
โก
Ignoring the healing work
Most entrepreneurs start their businesses without first understanding themselves, who they are here to serve and/or doing the necessary inner work with themselves. In a world where business is often assumed to be focused on strategies, marketing, funnels, conversions, and productivity, healing work is often ignored. A soul-led business owner will eventually recognize that they are consistently confronted by the need to heal and work through these blocks. Some of these blocks may look like:
fear of being seen, inner relationship with authority and decision making, worthiness wounds around being approved, abandonment, rejection and enmeshment, beliefs around ancestral and collective trauma and more.
Except that they do not possess the energetic or subconscious capacity and tools to support and sustain themselves while building a business.
โA creative life is an amplified life.
Itโs a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life.
Living in this mannerโcontinually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within youโis a fine art, in and of itself.โ

decentering oneโs creativity outlet
Another noticeable block I observed in soul-led business owners is the tendency to override or decenter their creative practice(s) due to other business priorities and tasks. Creativity is directly linked to receptivity; it is what sets us apart from other coaches, healers, writers, or service providers.
Creativity teaches us to create from joy, ease, and pleasure; it is also a place where we regulate our nervous system to homeostasis, where we can transmute our pain to purpose and connection, allowing our inner guidance to shape how we process our experiences, so our work is created from a place of resonance and fluidity. Without creativity, one may be called up to be performative, disconnected and inauthentic. Creativity is part of life. Just because you are a business owner doesnโt mean you have to stop being creative. A creative life was the reason why you were drawn to entrepreneurship in the first place.
A creative practice does not have to be directly linked to oneโs business at all; it can be anything that feels effortless and fun and is less about achieving a desired โpolishedโ outcome, but rather about staying open and receptive with it in the present moment.
For me, my current creative outlets include writing on my Substack, exploring Pinterest twice a day and pinning to my dream boards, buying myself different flowers weekly and arranging them, automatic writing, and taking long public transportation rides with a song on repeat.
When was the last time you did something that was focused on having fun as the outcome?
When was the last time you expressed yourself in a way that feels you?

The saviour archetype = pricing distortion
Another energetic pattern that I observe very commonly in service-based, soul-led business owners is carrying the identity of a saviour archetype. This is extremely common among soul-led entrepreneurs, healers, and coaches who identify as empaths, particularly those who are Projectors in business. This is a pattern of the wounded feminine energies, a path I have walked on until I healed my relationship with my masculine energies.
When wounded, this inevitably blocks your sales, limits your wealth accumulation, causes exhaustion in your life, and hinders your clientsโ transformation.
The core of this saviour archetype is rooted in the desire to rescue, heal, or fix others (very common for undefined solar plexus individuals). The root of it often stems from childhood experiences, ancestral trauma, including prosecution wounds and even religious imprinting. This often stems from a genuine intention and deep empathyโbut when wounded, it crosses into codependency, burnout, over-responsibility and even ego attachment around your clients (blocking their sovereignty). Some obvious signs are in content/offer/pricing distortion, where you may either offer too many freebies, reduce your word count in articles, overgive in your offerings, or undercharge your offers to stay โpalatable and accessibleโ for your audience.
No, your client does not require you to shortchange yourself to save them. No, they do not need you to save them. Just because they have engaged your energy and sought your guidance, it does not mean you have to take full responsibility for their transformation. They hired you so you can guide them in their Self-Agency.
You are worthy right here, right now.

poor Receivership
Receivership is a term that describes the energetic pattern in which one allows in what they truly desire and are calling in โ with trust, safety in their nervous system, and a sense of high self-worth.
On an energetic lens, receivership is not about grasping or pushing or performing. It is about staying open, deeply trusting that you are deserving of being supported, loved, and celebrated and deeply abundant and successful, no matter how that may look like for you.
From a business perspective, receivership lays the foundation for wealth accumulation. It is not about earning, receiving more, but facilitating your existing beliefs and nervous system threshold to be in a state of overflow. Wealth is an insider job.
โMoney is only an amplifier of your existing value system.
Having more wealth does not change somebody; it only amplifies what is currently existing within them.โ
Poor receivership with wealth isnโt just about under-earningโit is the energetic and nervous system resistance to allowing in more. More money, support, ease, visibility, and celebration. It is directly tied to the feminine receptivity work. Healthy receivership is the ability to carry the energetic capacity and nervous system to hold more without interfering, self-sabotaging, feeling guilty, or collapsing.
Does the following sound like you:
an inability to receive compliments, often deflecting or downplaying them
notice your body tensing up when you receive bills or large payouts
attracting clients who often say, โIโd love to work with you, but I canโt afford this.โ
feeling anxious and tense during launches
feeling resistant to not doing enough or being too relaxed and soft
working until you feel like you earn your rest (exhaustion- open root individuals)
explaining to yourself your every move, why your current pricing makes sense etc
constantly learning something for your business, never feeling ready, and not intentionally taking up space in your business
procrastinate or avoid looking at your transactions and bank account altogether
โIt might have been done before, but it hasnโt been done by you!โ

Prioritizing strategy in business over foundation and capacity
A business is not meant to build overnight, especially not a soul-based one.
A soul-based business calls for capacity, alignment, healing, and inner work. It is an extension of you, and it expands alongside you. It takes time and courage, because alongside all of this, you're excavating and confronting things that no longer serve you, that you have outgrown, so you can deepen your capacity and foundation, and relearn the tools and the nervous system work to create the business your soul has been nudging you to.
A strategy-driven business operates on a different frequency; it is focused on external parameters like numbers, milestones, market trends, and performance. Offers are built around audience demand or trends. It may appear pushy and performative, but it works for conversions and supporting the market, not the soul. There is a clear distinction when one experiences both kinds of businesses. There is no right or wrong way of approaching either of them, but if you are reading this, you probably identify yourself as a soul-led business owner or someone interested in starting one.
And yes, if you are wondering, can strategy exist in a soul-led business?
Absolutely. In fact, strategy is equally important.
Strategy governs the structure and outer shell of a soul-based business. The goal of strategy is to hold the energy of your business. A healthy union of masculine and feminine energies. The only difference is the order in which it is prioritized, which sets it apart from a strategy-driven business.
In a soul-based business, the foundation and capacity precede the business strategy. It sets the frequency and the stage in which your business ecosystem is established, and this is palpable through your branding, messaging, and offerings, and will be resonant for the right people.
When strategy is prioritized ahead of capacity and foundation, burnout may be prevalent, you may experience recurring energetic dissonance in your business; your energy shifts and it becomes palpably pushy, you attract clients who are misaligned or unclear, who are not ready for your workโฆyes you may attract wealth and derive short term gratification like massive growth in your business, but it feels inauthentic and empty.
This confusion becomes coded in your frequency and mirrored in your reality.
What I notice with business owners who have approached their business this way is that they eventually ended up closing their business or revamping it entirely at one point in their lives.
So, here is a list of questions for your contemplation right now:
Are you leading with a strategy-first approach in business, or a capacity-first approach? Is your business an expression of your truthโor a performance for your ego?
How is that reflected in your reality, considering the healing work you have done? Are you here for the long haul in business, or are you aligning your actions for short-term gratification in business? What are you intentionally calling in as a soul-based business owner?
